Intern Agreement Template
Interns are the bomb! If you are ready and willing to teach someone and they're super excited to learn, its a total win win! Hiring an intern is a temporary position, where the individual receives training and work experience.
Internships can be paid or unpaid, but either way they can be hugely beneficial. General rule of thumb? you need to consider who is getting the most benefit through the arrangement.
This Intern Agreement is for an unpaid intern arrangement.
This Intern Agreement allows you to bring someone on who can assist you but the focus needs to be on training and work experience for the intern. The agreement will cover intellectual property and confidential information.

Not For
This is NOT the right agreement if you are getting all the benefits and/or are keen to hire someone as a full time or part time employee or a contractor. As interns are not employees, they are not covered by workers compensation, however business can have insurance that covers employees and interns, however it is recommended interns get their own insurance if they would like to do so.
If you’re still unsure, please get in touch with a lawyer. Guess what? We know a few over here at Foundd Legal who are happy to assist!

Our templates are however customisable for countries outside of Australia, and whilst they are a good base and potentially save you money getting something created from scratch, it would be prudent to have a lawyer in your country to review the template especially if you have any questions.
