Hello Everyone! Welcome to Episode 9 of Legals and Biz with Riz! Today, I’ll be talking about How to Register a Trade mark in Australia.
Ready for some truth bombs and get a dose of some legal awesomeness? *Insert high five here* Ok. Let’s talk trade marks. You’ve created your business. You have a clear idea of your brand. And you’ve come up with a kickarse company name. So many wins! But before you go out and celebrate, did you know that just because you’ve registered your business name it doesn’t mean it’s exclusively yours? That’s right. Sad fact. To make it yours you need to trade mark the business, baby! You can also trade mark your logo. If you’re super fancy you could even trade mark a smell or a taste (unicorn/princess/fairy toast, anyone?). Whatever truly separates you from the competition can and should be trade marked. You’re awesome and so is your brand. So don’t let anyone take that away from you! If you’re ready for the nitty gritty on trade marks check out the link in our bio. Hooray!
